The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on October 09, 2026, issued the Draft Delhi Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Draft Delhi Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026, aim to regulate building construction and development within the Delhi Cantonment area.
•The proposed Bye-Laws prescribe requirements and procedures for obtaining approval of building plans and undertaking the erection, re-erection, alteration and extension of buildings.
•They seek to ensure planned development and compliance with prescribed standards relating to structural safety, sanitation, ventilation, fire safety and other building requirements.
•The draft also provides a regulatory framework for scrutiny and approval of building plans by the competent authority.
Any person interested in making any objections or suggestions may do so within 30 days from October 10, 2026.
